Visiting artists "The Tracey Campbell Trio" - Thursday 8th April 7pm $45 includes 2 course meal - book now
The Tracey Campbell Trio, the sound of Contemporary - Latin Jazz. Now based in the Blue Mountains, originally from Sydney with extensive touring and recording careers. This trio creates a sizzling conglomeration of Latin, Funk and Blues grooves through their original compositions. Tracey certainly knows how to bend a melody out of the sweetest chord progression and is more than ably abetted by drummer Phillip Campbell (Jump Back Jack) and bassist Tony Mitchell (Sherbet), both outstanding musicians in their own right. Their compositions are like a breath of fresh air, playful, catchy and top-notch, this is artistry on the highest level. Pick up a copy of the most recent album release, Sunshine Embrace. Definitely not to be overlooked! http://www.traceycampbell.com/Home.html
Excellent, excellent, excellent! This CD is a breath of fresh air, playful, catchy and top-notch. Tracey Campbell leads her ensemble on piano and vocals showing great musicality and chops, while her band provides great support, for my ears the drumming is truly outstanding and an additional benefit of this album. The range of music covers straight jazz, pop ("Take My Heart"), some songs are even funky, but all in all it's artistry on the highest level. Definitely not to be overlooked!
